This week Dallas saw up to 12.5 inches of snow.
Yep, not 12.5 inches of steak or hair, but snow.
Carlton and Robert decided to survey the damage and enjoy the outdoors...

December!

December has flown by and while we've had our struggles with sickness, including our first trip as parents to the ER (an 11-week-old with RSV) we are loving life with two little boys! We're all well now and are praising God for the blessings He bestowed in '09...including our favorite one (see the little pumpkin below)!

Here's hoping Robert will always be as happy with his little brother!
A friend of mine gave me an idea, which I thought was brilliant. She suggested I let Robert pick out a Christmas present for his brother from the Dollar Store. He was so excited to get to pick ANYTHING and I was so excited that the cost would be $1 regardless of what he picked (I wasn't sure how this was going to go...). He ultimately chose a monster truck and I'm pretty sure Connor was thrilled.
Before we left for Houston, we had our own little family Christmas gift exchange. After a morning of opening gifts Robert opted to play with cans from the pantry.

I thought this picture was funny because it looks like Connor just finished counting to five. You may not think it's funny, but's been a long week. :)
One of many of the exciting things about visiting Cita and Papawyn is that they have wild peacocks all over their neighborhood. Robert loved it!
It was WILD at the Wynne house on Christmas Eve. Here are Nathan and Hudson with the eight Wynne grandchildren (all under the age of 5!).

Despite the chaos, it was wonderful being with family and we thoroughly enjoyed our first Christmas as a family of four!

My Baby is 2!!

Last Friday, my little (though not littlest) guy turned 2! He is growing up so fast and the love and joy that he has brought into our lives is inexpressible. We love you so much, buddy!

Robert graciously :) shares a birthday with his mommy and his uncle, Zack. It was such a blessing to all be together to celebrate!
The highlight of his birthday was the CUPCAKE! Robert has a sweet tooth like you wouldn't believe and this poor bunny was a goner after only a couple of minutes in Robert's possession.

I was shocked that he chose the bunny over the dinosaur - we're obsessed with "dinos" these days! My cousin, Carolyn, got these awesome cupcakes to celebrate four birthdays (including my cousin's wife, Kristin). We made the mistake of showing these to the kids before dinner and, well, these became dinner. Oh well, you only turn 2 once, right?!

It's never easy getting multiple kids to look at the camera (with smiles) at once, but I loved this one of my precious grandmother and her four great-grandchildren.

Connor was able to spend some quality time with his beautiful cousin, Katie.

I had to include this so you would believe me when I said that it SNOWED IN DALLAS this morning. It was so funny to look outside and see snow in early December! Robert braved the elements for a little bit, but wasn't quite sure what to make of it.

Love and "Conquer"

Connor is six weeks old today and he is changing by the hour it seems! We continue to love watching and caring for these precious boys, even though it is non-stop! :)

Robert has stepped so sweetly into his role as "Conquer's" big brother (we're still working on the pronunciation).
Robert is making Connor smile through the crib rail...
Oops...Robert got his nose. I would have stepped in, but Connor didn't seem to mind.

1st Month!

Tomorrow my littlest baby will be four weeks old! Time has flown and I imagine it will continue at this pace, or faster, until we're empty nesters! Life with two is BUSY, but so much fun!

Here is evidence that I was present during Robert and Connor's childhood. Almost all of the pictures we have are of Daddy and his boy(s) or just the boys. I'd like them to know that I was here too. :)

Robert and Charlie were firemen for Halloween. We went to a friends' house and there was a real FIRE! (pit). The boys made sure that the fire was under control throughout the evening. With a swim noodle and a garden hose (that was not turned on) as their fire putting out (can you tell I'm sleep-deprived) items of choice we didn't feel any more safe, but they sure were cute!

In the line of duty...
Connor slept through all of the excitement. Fires don't intimidate this little guy.

Robert has been precious with Connor and often asks to "hold baby". He also loves to "kiss Connor," as seen here.

Cita came to town for a visit and was a HUGE help! We rode the trolley one rainy day and Robert loved it!
Still sleeping...

Home with my boys!

We are having so much fun transitioning into life as a family of four -- and that says a lot considering that we have a newborn who has had his days and nights confused and a toddler with the stomach bug! Here are some more pics of all of my boys. I thought that I would be less obnoxious about how many pictures I would take with baby #2, but it seems that I was mistaken...

On our way home!

Robert was more interested in the swing than the baby, but hopefully that will soon change.

I love my boys!

Robert has continually brought this blue ribbon to put on Connor. Either he thinks Connor is a gift, which he is :), or he wants to wrap him up and send back.

Despite no longer having Mommy and Daddy's undivided attention, Robert is still having a little fun.

Welcome Baby Connor!

The following pics are in no particular order...too tired to organize well! :) Also, the announcement is at the bottom. Enjoy!

We are so, so thrilled to announce the arrival of Connor David Wynne! Connor was born yesterday, Oct. 5th, at 2:35pm and weighed 8lb. 6oz. We are already falling deeply in love with this little guy and we couldn't be more thankful that the Lord chose him to be the newest addition to our family of four!
