Back to School

I am so sorry that I was not more clear about the title of my previous post! I forget who does and doesn't know...Yes, we are indeed Philly-bound. Carlton will be starting a PhD program at Westminster Theological Seminary in the fall and we'll be moving up there sometime late-July or early-August. It will be extremely difficult to leave this place we so dearly love, but we are excited about the future and will continue to blog from 15 miles north of the Mason-Dixon line (I'm not kidding, I just looked that up)!

Philly-bound...

The following pictures are in no particular order. That is because I am wiped out! Within the last week and a half, I've traveled to Atlanta, then to Philadelphia, looked for a new home, found a new home, flew back to Atlanta, flew back to Dallas, had a college girls' reunion in Dallas and cleaned our home so that it would be ready to put on the market (which happened yesterday!). All wonderful things, but a lot of things! If you'd like to take me out for ice cream any time in the near future, I'll go! :)

The Lord has been extremely gracious through it all and despite some remaining anxiety about transitioning our family of four away from a place that we have grown to love immensely, we are excited to see what He has in store for us during this new season of our lives.

So, what have the boys been up to during the mass chaos?? Well....Connor is crawling!! He is so proud of his new trick and aside from the fact that he constantly keeps me on my toes, it's so fun to have two movers!
I flew back from Atlanta with both boys ALONE. The flight attendant said it was a "full flight." Somehow, however, the seat next to us just happened to be empty...so Mommy got some time with an empty lap!
Off and away!
Comical attempt at a picture with my grandparent's six great-grandchildren. Mine were the least cooperative -- perhaps that had something to do with the lack of napage and incredible amount of sugar that Robert was fed while he stayed with his Leeley and BooPa! :)
CARS -- we are obsessed. Robert is obsessed with the Cars and Mommy is obsessed with the amount of time that Robert will play quietly with them -- everybody wins!
Connor looked on while Robert and Jack played with Lightning McQueen. He can't wait to join them!
In the meantime, he'll just admire his beautiful cousin, Katie.
Uncle Zack helps the boys blow bubbles...
This is how I kept the boys contained while I did laundry the other day.
Serious sweetness. We have fallen more and more in love with our Connor lately. He accompanied us to Philadelphia while his brother stayed with his grandparents in Atlanta. The time alone with him was by far the most precious part of the trip. We love you little C!

Lately...

The boys at our favorite place - the Arboretum!
This was one of the family Easter pics that we got. In an effort to get both (or all three!) boys to look at the camera, I apparently did not made the head turn in time for the shot.
Our dear friend Claudia set up an Easter egg hunt for Robert and some of his friends. He was introduced to more kinds of candy than he's ever seen in his life and has been talking about candy ever since. Thank you, Claudia. :)

SOLIDS! Connor is slowly learning that the solids are intended to stay in the mouth. Let's just say I'm doing A LOT of laundry these days!

Objects in Pictures are as Close as they Appear!

Last Friday Carlton took the day off and we headed down to Glen Rose, Texas to a wildlife park called Fossil Rim. It was amazing! We truly went because Robert loves animals and we thought he'd have a blast, but I'm pretty sure Carlton and I had just as much fun, if not more!

Connor is not quite as close to this deer as he seems to be...
Hello deer (some exotic type, can't remember the name)! He was hungry and not a bit intimidated by people!
I still can't believe there was a zebra in my car!!
A shot of the family behind us...they chose to go real safari style.
God's creatures are so unbelievably beautiful!
I barely used the zoom feature on my camera. His head really was just about this close to mine!
And I'm about to feed him from my hand!
After the excitement of seeing so many amazing real animals, Robert was equally impressed by the large Apatosaurus statue that tried to entice us to "Dinosaur Valley" down the road...we would have taken the bait, but it was already a long day for two little ones.
Connor had a blast, too!

Baptism, Big Bed and Boys...oh my!

Last weekend we had the sweet privilege of baptizing our precious Connor. It was particularly special because his Daddy was able to officiate the sacrament. It took some serious focus for me to hold back tears as I looked on at the three boys I love most!

In case you're doing a double take, this is a picture from when Robert was baptized. I don't think the brothers look at all alike, which will at least make it easy to distinguish one from the other in baby pictures down the road!
Carlton in action, explaining the purpose of baptism. Mommy in action, praying that Robert won't roar like a dinosaur and that Connor won't spit up all over either one or both of us!
This picture captures a little bit of Connor's personality -- always moving!

I thought this sequence was hilarious (and I could have included more pictures)...

Despite how it may look, Robert did great during the baptism -- no roars to speak of!
*The above baptism pictures were taken by our friend, Andrew Slaton, if you need a fantastic photographer in town, I'd highly, highly recommend him!

Here we are with my (Linley's) parents.
And with the whole Wynne clan. Two of the cousins couldn't make it, but everyone else did! Thank you so, so much for making the special day all the more special!
And on a different note, Robert is now in a BIG BOY BED! It's gone relatively smoothly so far -- so thankful for that!
And to the zoo! We went to the zoo yesterday and Robert loved it.
Robert and Charlie with the giraffes. Both a little disappointed that the giraffes wouldn't say "hi" back to them.
Have you ever seen a wider smile in your life? It makes my mouth hurt to look at it!
This weekend has been gloriously warm and the boys have loved spending more time outdoors. Hoping the weather will hold out for weeks (and months!) to come!

Wynne boys...

So I've decided that the worst thing about having babies in the winter is that you don't get to see enough of this...Sorry boys, you may be cold, but Mommy has decided that I'd like to see you shirtless more often.
If you don't think this is the cutest thing you've ever seen, then you are clearly not his mother. :)
Sometimes while Daddy is watching Connor this is what Connor gets to do...
...In case you can't read the book's title it's Resurrection and Eschatology -- that's got to top the list of most children's all-time favorites.
Robert decided not to nap one day last week and continually claimed that he was not, "sleepy and tired." A 30 minute nap at 5:30pm was the result...

This week Dallas saw up to 12.5 inches of snow.
Yep, not 12.5 inches of steak or hair, but snow.
Carlton and Robert decided to survey the damage and enjoy the outdoors...
