December!

December has flown by and while we've had our struggles with sickness, including our first trip as parents to the ER (an 11-week-old with RSV) we are loving life with two little boys! We're all well now and are praising God for the blessings He bestowed in '09...including our favorite one (see the little pumpkin below)!

Here's hoping Robert will always be as happy with his little brother!
A friend of mine gave me an idea, which I thought was brilliant. She suggested I let Robert pick out a Christmas present for his brother from the Dollar Store. He was so excited to get to pick ANYTHING and I was so excited that the cost would be $1 regardless of what he picked (I wasn't sure how this was going to go...). He ultimately chose a monster truck and I'm pretty sure Connor was thrilled.
Before we left for Houston, we had our own little family Christmas gift exchange. After a morning of opening gifts Robert opted to play with cans from the pantry.

I thought this picture was funny because it looks like Connor just finished counting to five. You may not think it's funny, but's been a long week. :)
One of many of the exciting things about visiting Cita and Papawyn is that they have wild peacocks all over their neighborhood. Robert loved it!
It was WILD at the Wynne house on Christmas Eve. Here are Nathan and Hudson with the eight Wynne grandchildren (all under the age of 5!).

Despite the chaos, it was wonderful being with family and we thoroughly enjoyed our first Christmas as a family of four!

My Baby is 2!!

Last Friday, my little (though not littlest) guy turned 2! He is growing up so fast and the love and joy that he has brought into our lives is inexpressible. We love you so much, buddy!

Robert graciously :) shares a birthday with his mommy and his uncle, Zack. It was such a blessing to all be together to celebrate!
The highlight of his birthday was the CUPCAKE! Robert has a sweet tooth like you wouldn't believe and this poor bunny was a goner after only a couple of minutes in Robert's possession.

I was shocked that he chose the bunny over the dinosaur - we're obsessed with "dinos" these days! My cousin, Carolyn, got these awesome cupcakes to celebrate four birthdays (including my cousin's wife, Kristin). We made the mistake of showing these to the kids before dinner and, well, these became dinner. Oh well, you only turn 2 once, right?!

It's never easy getting multiple kids to look at the camera (with smiles) at once, but I loved this one of my precious grandmother and her four great-grandchildren.

Connor was able to spend some quality time with his beautiful cousin, Katie.

I had to include this so you would believe me when I said that it SNOWED IN DALLAS this morning. It was so funny to look outside and see snow in early December! Robert braved the elements for a little bit, but wasn't quite sure what to make of it.
